35+ Years in Industrial Cooling Tower Systems
Joe Coates is the CEO of Cooling Tower Systems, Inc. and has spent more than 35 years working with and representing industrial cooling tower systems. In 1990, he transitioned from a different business sector after gaining extensive exposure to cooling tower manufacturing, engineering, and related technical disciplines. After evaluating the industry and the product line, he recognized the opportunity to work with cooling tower technologies and dedicated his career to the field.
Under his leadership, Cooling Tower Systems, Inc. has developed and supplied a broad range of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester) cooling towers, including counterflow induced draft, crossflow, high-temperature, and enclosed-loop fluid cooling towers. The company is particularly known for its counterflow induced draft FRP cooling towers, which are recognized for their corrosion resistance, energy efficiency, thermal performance, ease of maintenance, durability, and long operational lifespan.
The circular cooling tower design offered by CTS Incorporated includes round cold water basin storage systems engineered to minimize vortex-related issues while maintaining continuous water movement throughout the process. This design approach helps reduce stagnant water conditions that can contribute to contamination, algae growth, and the spread of bacteria commonly associated with standing water in certain cooling tower configurations.
Over the past 35 years, Cooling Tower Systems, Inc. has established a broad customer base serving multiple industries and applications, including process cooling, condenser cooling, machine cooling, petrochemical and gas operations, injection molding, HVACR systems, chillers, and other industrial processes requiring efficient heat removal from machinery or process water systems.
Cooling Tower Systems, Inc. maintains a full staff of service engineers available to assist customers with both general cooling tower applications and the company’s specific product lines. By utilizing customer-provided operating and application data, the company supports cooling tower selection, thermal performance evaluations, formal quotations, and technical documentation requirements.
CTS Incorporated also provides customers with a complete range of technical literature and support materials, including operation and service manuals, product cut sheets, engineering drawings, warranty information, and engineering brochures. Product specifications, downloadable literature, and quotation request forms for cooling tower systems and water pumps are available through the company website at Cooling Tower Systems, Inc..
