Rigging, Lifting and Slinging Information for CTS Model T-2 and T-3 Cooling Towers
Please see below the recommended procedure for rigging, lifting and slinging assembled Cooling Towers.

   
Model T-23 through T-260: These cooling towers have a round one piece FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester) cold water basin and need to be rigged, slung and lifted with lifting straps slung around all 4 feet with short guide and safety lines attached to fan motor eye bolt for balance and to assure safety and no tipping of tower during lifting process.

   
Model T-270 through T-2175: These towers come with six sections that are bolted and fiberglassed together to make a complete water basin. When lifting, these towers use 4 lifting straps that are positioned 90 degrees equally around the tower and make sure that lifting straps do not cross over any bolted and fiberglass seamed area. Safety and guideline to be attached to fan motor eye bolt to ensure balance and to keep tower from tipping over.

     
Model T-2200 through T-3500: These sizes of Cooling Towers need to be lifted with 4 equal lifting straps that are positioned 90 degrees equally around the cooling tower and placed under truss pipes and ring # 1. Guide and safety line to be attached to fan motor eye bolt to ensure proper balance and prevent cooling tower from tipping or sway during lifting process.
Note: Be sure the crane or boom truck is capable of lifting the complete dry weight of the cooling tower.
