100 Ton Cooling Tower – Model T-2100
The Model T-2100 is a 100-ton counterflow, induced draft cooling tower with a fiberglass-reinforced polyester (FRP) casing and cold-water basin. It rejects 1,500,000 BTU/hr at 295 GPM, using a 3 HP direct-drive fan motor that moves 24,500 CFM. FRP does not rust, so the structure holds up to treated water, humidity, and outdoor exposure for decades.
The T-2100 is part of the Model T-2 line, built in Macon, Georgia. Its round footprint performs the same regardless of wind direction, and its direct-drive fan means no belts or gearboxes to maintain.
Key Features & Benefits
- 100 nominal tons, 1,500,000 BTU/hr heat rejection
- 24,500 CFM airflow from a 3 HP direct-drive fan motor
- Non-corrosive FRP casing and cold-water basin with UV-protective gel coat
- 20-year warranty on the FRP casing and basin (U.S. orders)
- Counterflow design with enclosed fill to limit algae growth
- Compact round footprint, 104 3/8 in diameter
- Light dry weight of 889 lbs for easier rigging

Assembly and Installation
The T-2100 ships in factory-built sections and is assembled on site. CTS rates assembly at 15 total man-hours (3 workers, 5 hours each). The six-section FRP basin is bolted and fiberglassed together, then the casing, fill, sprinkler, and fan assembly go on top. If you would like CTS personnel to assemble the tower on your job site, request a quote from the sales office.
Before delivery, review the rigging, slinging, and lifting guide. Models T-270 through T-2175 are lifted with four straps spaced 90 degrees apart, kept off the bolted seams, with a guide line on the fan motor eye bolt. To see how this compares with building a tower on site, read factory-assembled vs field-erected cooling towers.
Typical Applications
- Plastics and injection molding process cooling (manufacturing)
- Condenser water for water-cooled chillers in commercial buildings (HVAC)
- Food, beverage, and brewery process cooling (breweries and food processing)
- Air compressor and machinery cooling
- Edge and enterprise data center cooling (data centers)
Is the T-2100 the Right Size?
For smaller loads, the 80-ton T-280 ships completely assembled. For larger loads, step up to the 125-ton T-2125. Use our CTS sizing guide or send us your flow rate, water temperatures, and location for a free selection.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much cooling capacity does the Model T-2100 provide?
The Model T-2100 is rated at 100 nominal tons (1,500,000 BTU/hr) at 295 GPM, based on 95°F hot water, 85°F cold water, and a 75°F wet bulb. Capacity changes with your actual design conditions, so send us yours for an exact selection.
Does the Model T-2100 require field assembly?
Yes. The T-2100 ships in factory-built sections and is bolted together on site. CTS rates assembly at 15 total man-hours (3 workers, 5 hours each). CTS personnel can also assemble it on your job site; ask the sales office for a quote.
What is the lead time for the Model T-2100?
Please allow approximately 2–4 weeks for CTS to build and prepare the T-2100 for shipment from Macon, Georgia.
What warranty comes with the Model T-2100?
For U.S. orders, CTS warrants the FRP casing and cold-water basin for 20 years, PVC fill for 2 years, and fan motors and major drive components for 1 year.
