Cooling Tower Water Pumps

CTS has a quality line of water pumps, specially designed for our cooling towers. This product line allows users to maintain higher levels of efficiency over a wider range of operating conditions. We have TEFC motor options available for outdoor use. We also have ODP motors available. These ODP motors, or open drip proof motors, should only be used indoors for they are open to the environment and very susceptible to outside elements.

Sump Pumps

Sump pumps are designed to move water from the cooling tower’s basin (or sump) up to the process equipment being cooled. CTS offers sump pumps in a range of horsepower ratings and voltages to match the flow and head requirements of your specific cooling tower model. Our sump pumps are available with TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) motors for outdoor installations and ODP (Open Drip Proof) motors for indoor use only. Selecting the right sump pump ensures your cooling system delivers consistent water flow to maintain optimal heat rejection performance.

Circulation Pumps

Circulation pumps keep water moving continuously between the cooling tower and the heat load, ensuring efficient heat transfer throughout the system. CTS offers circulation pumps engineered to handle the flow rates and total dynamic head requirements of cooling tower applications. Like our sump pumps, circulation pumps are available with TEFC motors for outdoor use or ODP motors for indoor environments only. Properly sized circulation pumps reduce energy consumption, minimize wear on system components, and extend the operational life of your cooling tower.

Pump Compatibility by Model

Each CTS cooling tower model has a recommended pump configuration based on its flow rate (GPM), total dynamic head (TDH), and electrical requirements. Selecting a pump matched to your tower model ensures optimal performance and prevents issues like cavitation, undersized flow, or motor strain.
