Factory-assembled towers that ship ready to set

These are the fastest replacements we offer. Each one arrives as a complete tower with a non-corrosive FRP casing and cold-water basin. Ratings are based on 95°F hot water, 85°F cold water, and a 75°F wet bulb.

Prices are current list prices and are subject to change. Need more than 80 tons today? Several assembled towers can run in parallel. For example, two T-280s provide 160 nominal tons and give you redundancy. CTS also offers rent-to-own and leasing plans on Models T-23 through T-280, with optional skid-mounted pumps; ask our sales team whether they fit your situation.

What to have ready for a fast quote

The quicker we have these, the quicker we can match a tower. You do not need all of them to start; call with what you have.

  • Flow rate (GPM) or heat load. GPM is most direct. Heat load in BTU/hr or tons also works. If you only know the equipment (chiller size, number of presses), tell us that.
  • Tonnage of the old tower. From the nameplate, drawings, or the original quote.
  • Entering and leaving water temperatures. For example, 95°F in and 85°F out.
  • Location. City and state, so we can use the right design wet bulb.
  • Pipe connections. Inlet and outlet sizes, flange type, and the height of the pipes above the pad.
  • Footprint and clearances. Pad or steel support dimensions, overhead clearance, and space around the tower for airflow.
  • Power supply. Voltage and phase available for the fan motor.
  • Photos and nameplate. Pictures of the existing tower, its nameplate, piping, and the delivery path.
  • Delivery and access. Whether a truck and crane or boom truck can reach the site.

More detail: information needed to quote a cooling tower. Not sure of the size? See how to size a CTS cooling tower.

Matching your existing footprint and connections

A drop-in replacement is the fastest path, because the pad, piping, and wiring stay largely as they are. CTS towers are round, so they fit many square pads with room to spare. Use the diameter and inlet/outlet columns above as a first check, then send us your measurements. We will tell you which model fits and whether you need adapters, a different pipe height, or a new support frame.

If the old tower was undersized or the load has grown, replacement is also the moment to size up. See our cooling tower replacement and retrofit guide and repair vs replace.

Getting it installed fast

  1. Plan the lift. Read the rigging, slinging, and lifting guide and make sure your crane or boom truck can handle the tower's complete dry weight.
  2. Assemble if needed. Follow the assembly instructions. CTS personnel can also assemble towers on your job site; ask the sales office for a quote.
  3. Connect piping. Use our piping and bypass line guide.
  4. Wire the fan motor. Electrical hookups are inside the junction box on the fan motor.
  5. Fill, start, and check. Keep the operating instructions and service manual (PDF) on hand.

Why factory-assembled towers get you running sooner: factory-assembled vs field-erected cooling towers.

Built to avoid the next emergency

Many tower failures come from corroded steel basins and casings. CTS towers use FRP, which does not rust, and carry a 20-year warranty on the casing and cold-water basin for U.S. orders. Keep the new tower running with our cooling tower maintenance checklist, and stock critical spares from replacement parts by model.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can I get a replacement cooling tower?

Models T-23 through T-280 (3 to 80 tons) ship completely assembled from Macon, Georgia, by LTL freight, typically within 1–2 business days after the order is received and accepted, when in stock. Larger models generally need 2–4 weeks to build and prepare for shipping.

What do I need to get a quote quickly?

Your flow rate (GPM) or heat load/tonnage, entering and leaving water temperatures, location, pipe connection sizes, the available footprint, and your power supply. Photos and the nameplate of the old tower help. With these, CTS can usually quote the same day.

Can a CTS tower fit my existing footprint and piping?

Often, yes. Send the old tower’s make, model, dimensions, and connection sizes. CTS will match a model by capacity, diameter, and inlet and outlet sizes, and tell you what adapters or piping changes are needed.

What if I need more than 80 tons right away?

Several assembled towers can run in parallel. For example, two T-280s provide 160 nominal tons. Larger single towers (T-2100 and up) ship in factory-built sections and are assembled on site in 15 to 270 man-hours, depending on size.

Do I need a crane to install the tower?

Small towers can often be set with a boom truck or forklift. Larger towers need a crane or boom truck rated for the tower’s complete dry weight. Follow the CTS rigging, slinging, and lifting guide.
