CTS, Inc. is doing away with our Metric 220/440V fan motors and providing our customers with a wider range of voltage with our Nema 208-230/460V fan motors.

-All new purchases of our Model   T-220 and above will come equipped with the new Nema Fan Motor and Nema Motor Bracket.

-Nema fan motors are only available for 3 phase fan motors.

-3 phase motors begin at our Model T-220 cooling tower.

-All of our fan motors can handle +/- 10% of the voltage on fan motor nameplate.

Winterization Kits

CTS been selling the FRP (fiberglass reinforced polyester) cooling tower for the past 63 years into North and South America- to include the severe cold climates of Canada and Alaska. Cold climate does not affect the materials our cooling towers are constructed of, of which we have the longest warranty in the industry for.

Instead of using the cold water basin for your processed water, the most preferred winterization method in a cold climate is to elevate the cooling tower outside until thermal performance is achieved. Once achieved, the process water should gravity fall into a remote process water tank that is placed inside a controlled atmosphere.

The second method would be using immersion heaters with a thermostat to keep the cold water basin from freezing. We offer screw type immersion heaters for the smaller cooling towers, and for the larger towers we have bottom mount heaters available.
